Form:
Aangs left hand could use a little more curve particularly at the thumb and pinky. He is supposed to be 'grabbing' water. He looks off balance. His torso and up need to be leaning forward just a smidgen more because of the motion with the left arm, as counter-force. The attaching band from his capellet to his yellow sleeve needs a little flattening, it's currently giving me the idea that his arm is bent more than it really is. Form overall needs one or more of the following- bending the knees more, above the waist leaned forward a smidgen, and/or character position moved a step back to his left.

Solid Colors:
I'm not sure how you got the pant color variation that's behind the water, but it is brilliant. I tend to say that this was composed in part or completely in a simple program as MS Paint. This is a great piece for a basic program! However, the ground crack need either a lighter tone or a vertical stripe pattern within the cracks to indicate a heat source underground. Some colors are bleeding outside the lined borders.

Special Effect:
First, I'm very impressed with the water effect! Nice light effects on the boots. The shadows need some work on the right arm as there is an unknown light source above the right forearm that has no effect on his head or anywhere else. There should be more blue-light hues in proximity to Aangs eyes and tattoos. I'm seeing some use of a smudge, eraser, and maybe a smear tool, there should've been a lot more use of those program tools. The ground crack pattern is overlapping the fire effect in some areas to the right of his foot by the ankle. The flames light should be brighter than the ground, so the overlapping should not be there. I would've liked to have seen a much more grainy look in the dislodged dirt around the rising boulders. I doubt there was opacity setting, but it would've helped greatly with the flames. The hanging rocks behind Aang could use a little cast light to make them a little more visible. If Aang is moving the around to his right, every other force should be going in that same direction, as the flames don't seem to be affected by the rushing air along the knees.

Overall:
I think this is a good fanart. I don't know what program is was made with, but the piece is a good one for basics. The aesthetic is novelty and the Avatar logo helps tremendously to deliver that. There are some things that I would've loved to seen done to improve it's marketability. Nice warm up for being the first piece produced in some time! Keep advancing!
