Crawling through the Ivy

This piece lovingly blends rough, sketchy lines and dark overtones with insane detail and beautiful vibrant blasts of color. A lone Ivysaur stomps through the forest, reminiscent of the time when dinosaurs roamed the earth. This picture is overgrown with greenery in both the background and the foreground, creating the tone of a dense tropical jungle, while the central figure's bright pink flower bud demands the attention of the viewer. The brightest portion by far is the Ivysaur's eyes, which peer through the darkness, staring just off center as though looking directly past the viewer. As always, joshD1000 has done a wonderful job of blending the imaginary with the real, and for that, this picture earns a spot in our favorites, just as many of this artist's other works have.
