Ponyta are a common sight on most open grasslands. They live in large herds with many other Ponyta and their evolved form, Rapidash. Ponyta are shy pokemon, but once trained, are a favorite for young trainers looking for transportation. Ponyta's hair is very unique. It's soft as silk, and so light that it flows in the wind, looking from a distance like fire . Ponyta can heat up the superconductive hair on its mane, tail, and legs to extreme temperatures or to just to lukewarm. If a Ponyta trusts you it will allow you to ride it but beware of riding a wild one: you'll get yourself burned.
