Description

Dragonair are beautiful and highly intelligent creatures.

They are very rare but unlike their younger forms, they prefer the open ocean. When a Dratini feels its ready to evolves it swims down rivers until it reaches the ocean. More recently this has been a problem for Dratini due to industrialization and channelling of waterways. Many a Dratini have been caught due to it being trapped in dams or blockades, and fortunately for the trainer, evolving soon after.

Dragonair, like its pre and evo, like to live alone. It is thought this is because of it hunting patterns.
Though they are lone hunters they are very sociable in captivity, however in the wild they are very territorial.
Dragoniar have been idolized by humanity throughout history, mainly in the asian culture as its seen a deity or demi-god.
It was said years ago fisherman would use Dragonair to catch fish for them. Now Only one family use them in this method, and people come from miles around to see them catch the fish.

The 'balls' on the end of their tails are used for measuring buoyancy and depth for them. They also make a dull rattling noise similar to a rattlesnake, however when they rattle their tails this is actually a sign of excitement, unlike the rattlesnakes warning.

When a Dratini evolves it grows a horn on its head. These can vary in length and are used when they battle over territory. males tend to be longer as its a sign of dominance.

Dragonair communicate using high pitched whistles and clicks that can travel for miles underwater. Near some shores you can faintly hear their songs travel on the wind.

I'll try to avoid shallow evaluations like awesome/kick-ass/sweet/cool etc. I have to say though, that the first thing that caught my eye was the style, the smooth lineless background in contrast with the sketkchy outline of Dragonair, and the more realistic features you've added, it gives a new dimension to how pokémon are percieved. Embarrassingly enough, I actually didn't notice the fisherman in the composition last night, I must have been too enchanted by the Dragonair. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt=":D" title=":D (Big Grin) - :D"/> The Blues set a nice tone here, and the moon completes that cool early evening atmosphere. Wonderful image here keep up the great work.
